About

From the first email to the sea

Fly With Me is small, and deliberately so.

I'm Giovanni, and I personally take care of every booking: from the very first email to your day at sea, including the boat, the planning and the timings.

No call centres, no sales team. Just someone who knows the sea, the Coast and what you're hoping for.

When you write, I'm the one who answers. When you step on board, I'm there to make sure everything is exactly as you imagined it.

My story

I'm Giovanni Luca Parascandolo, born in 1998, and the sea has been part of my life practically forever.

My father is a ship's captain and, ever since I was a child, I grew up in a world deeply connected to seafaring. My first time on board was when I was just twenty days old. Since then, the sea has always been a constant presence in my life.

After graduating from the Nautical Institute, in the summer of 2016, at just 17, I officially started working on the Amalfi Coast. My first job was with small 5–6 metre boats with outboard engines, rented out to visitors for their days at sea.

The following summer, in 2017, I also began skippering these boats myself, taking guests to discover the Amalfi Coast. It was my first real taste of what, years later, would become my profession.

In December of that same year I set out on a completely different but equally important path: I joined Grimaldi ships as a deck cadet.

That was the start of a long professional journey that took me sailing to many parts of the world, from North America to West Africa, from Turkey to Greece and Spain. I visited places like New York, Texas, Nigeria and Senegal, growing professionally from cadet to third officer and then second officer.

Despite my career on merchant ships, though, the Amalfi Coast always remained home. Whenever I came back, I kept spending my summers at sea, taking guests out on boats of around 10 metres.

In 2023 I decided to turn what had been an idea for years into a real project.

An idea I had actually carried with me since I was a boy: to have a boat of my own and build a business around the sea, the Amalfi Coast and, above all, a direct relationship with people.

It was a "now or never" moment.

So I chose to leave my career in the merchant navy and dedicate myself 100% to Fly With Me, finally giving shape to my idea of a private charter.

Today Fly With Me is born of exactly this experience: years spent at sea, both on ships and on the small boats of the Coast, combined with first-hand knowledge of the area and the desire to offer something more than just a day out on a boat.

For me, the strength is simple: when you choose Fly With Me, you always know who you're talking to.

From your first enquiry to the booking, from payment to preparing the day, right up to the moment you step on board and the moment you leave the boat, it's me.

One person, from start to finish. Because I believe a private experience should be truly personal.
